In 2025, among the finalists in the “Large Companies” category once again stood Ficosota Group and Ficosota Food — our long-term partner and client.

For us, this recognition is more than a reason for pride.

Ficosota – Manufacturing on a Global Scale

With products reaching more than 90 international markets, Ficosota has long moved beyond the scope of a local manufacturer.
In 2024 alone, the group’s turnover reached BGN 447.9 million, while investments in automation and robotics exceeded 10% of annual revenue — a clear sign of strategic, long-term thinking.

At Ficosota Food, 44% of the machines commissioned in 2024 were dedicated to the modernization of Bruschetti Maretti, the company’s flagship product.
Other well-known Ficosota brands include Kubeti, Motto, Savex, Teo Bebe, Echo, Emeka, and more.

In 2024, the company introduced:

two new automated production lines;
equipped with robotic carton-packing systems;
integrated with a central palletizer that synchronizes the entire production flow.

A Partnership Built for the Long Term

At Multiengineering, we design, integrate, and maintain a significant part of Ficosota’s production lines.
Our role goes far beyond one-time delivery — it is an engineering partnership that includes:

process analysis;
design of automated solutions;
integration with existing systems;
long-term support and development.

This model allows large manufacturers like Ficosota to scale step by step — without stopping production.

Designed and built by Multiengineering, this automated carton-filling system for Ficosota achieves up to 45 packages per minute, combining precise mechanics, intelligent control, and stable performance.

“Technical Brain Trust” – When People Are Part of Automation

One of Ficosota’s most impressive initiatives is the creation of a Technical Brain Trust — an internal structure that brings together experts from different production divisions.

In just six months:

more than 1,000 improvement ideas were generated;
implemented solutions have already delivered over €200,000 in savings.

This is a powerful example that automation does not exclude people — it includes them in a smarter way.

Sustainability and Energy Efficiency

Beyond production efficiency, Ficosota is also making strong progress in ESG practices:

energy consumption measured per production line;
equipment and lighting upgrades;
reuse of waste heat;
8% of energy covered by photovoltaic systems;
solar parks equipped with energy storage batteries.

Another clear reason why the company rightfully stands among the finalists.

Finalists Who Move Industry Forward

In 2025, 19 companies participated in the competition, with 5 large enterprises and 2 SMEs reaching the final stage.
The winners were Alcomet (Large Companies) and Decibel (SMEs), but all finalists proved that Bulgarian industry has a strong future.
